The Chevo Fund – A benefit to the Parkinson’s Association of Northern California

Chevo Ramirez can be considered a local hero. If you don’t know him personally, he has without a doubt helped someone you know in the greater Sacramento area. In October of 2011 Chevo publicly announced that he has Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. Approximately 3.6 million Americans have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Around 50,000 new cases are diagnosed each year, and many more have Parkinson’s without even knowing it.

Chevo’s position as a Vice President with the Wells Fargo foundation has allowed him to do what he loves. Chevo has supported and contributed funds to just about every non profit organization you can imagine here in Northern California. Chevo said it best, “When the community comes together, great things can be accomplished.”

Well now it’s time for the community to come together and help Chevo in his quest to raise one million dollars for Parkinson’s research, support and education. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Parkinson’s Association of Northern California to further Parkinson’s research, education for those directly and indirectly affected by the disease, and awareness of those not yet diagnosed.

As a small business owner and personal friend of Chevo I want to do everything I can to help support this great cause. Chevo has been a mentor to me and someone I have looked up to since the moment I met him. These are the times where I wish money just wasn’t an issue and I can give him every dime he needs in order to reach his goal.

My business, Always Green Clean, will donate 20% of all sales from now until his first annual golf tournament fundraiser on April 30th at Serrano Country Club. This fundraiser is for everyone who calls and tells us they want to support The Chevo Fund and schedules a job for carpet cleaning, tile/grout cleaning, hardwood floor cleaning, and upholstery cleaning. Always Green Clean will donate 20% of the total price of your completed job. If there is an additional amount you would like to add while servicing your home or business please tell us at that time and it will be added to the collected donation.
